OT> Just Pondering - Arlowe - 19:02 07-11-08

Usenet & most other un-moderated forums always seem to become
battlegrounds
for those that disagree about politics , religion and just about every
other thing people talk about.
Everyone involved in these conflicts has the correct answer and no one
will change ever their minds.
So the discussion changes to heated arguing and the arguing erupts into
flaming (name calling, insults, threats, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera)
It may just start with a few participants, but eventually others
(usually because they took offence to something someone posted) join in
the fray.

We have all seen it happen repeatedly.

We have all been involved in at least one of these altercations so no
one is "without sin" :)

There are usually only three outcomes,

1. Bad feelings toward the ones that are of a different opinion that
ours (and vice-versa of course)
2. These sort of threads are chum for trolls who like nothing better
than fanning the flames
3. It puts off some who may actually have something to contribute from
participating.

The irony is that despite all of the effort, the flames, the anger and
the time, no one has changed anyone else's opinion.
Then it starts all over again.

There is a question we should all be asking ourselves is "Why?”

This is not an attempt to preach...just pondering.

Ignore it like I do. This group and it's citizenship have no bearing
upon my life to where I'm going to ponder what motivates some of these
fucking idiots to post the banal horse-shit they do.

My Answer: The dark side of human nature, in conjunction with the
unusually high and disproportionate # of ubber [-] non-successful
(however one individually defines "success"), people typing into this
scene, creates the very environment you're observing in this post.

Upside...viewed as a ludicrous hurdle, those w/ #3(your post above)
going on, persist and drive right up over the fecal to participate!

Contrast; [+] is what makes the rare, valuable.

The common [-] has always been with us and will always be. We appreciate
what we see in the night sky because it isn't all one bright lump.
Space, the cold dark vacuum between the miracles, exists to set off that
which we value. Each has its place, but we decide which one we'll
emulate with the only string we each individually have to pull: our own
attitudes...

http://www.accomplishlife.com/pages/Attitude-Quotes.html

Me, I have consistently and routinely engendered h8 from all the [-]'s
because I call them on the very thing they despise most- about
themselves. Result? They call me insane while proving themselves so,
coming back almost each and every time with more [-] attitude / h8.

Why do I bother? Edmund Burke called that play with;

"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing".

I didn't post this to create change.
It is just a curiosity.

Nothing wrong with insults ,fighting and name calling. I need
fighting like I need fu--ing. What gets me is the pecker necks who
insult but couldnt whip their way out of a paper bag. If they could
they'd be afraid to try. Still they act tough when they think they're
safe. I'm talking meatscow and repairbitch here. If a person were to
travel to bumfuck Egypt where they live then you could bet your ass
the cowardly bastards would call the cops.(if their hands still work)
I hold no grudges but small minded people like them keep picking at
scabs till the sore ends up going billious on em. Other than that. I
agree, Turn the other cheek, eat crow pie,get some shit on the end of
your nose and by all means be politicaly correct

PS
The dark side of human naure isnt fighting. Thats natural and bred
into us. The dark side is when everybody with a foot jumps in and
starts kicking one person alone. Its mob mentality and cowardly as
hell. It happens all the time here and elsewhere in the world. Makes
me sick.

Because I'm the only one who matters on the Internets. Ponder that.

You don't see this in real life because people don't talk about such
things at length in person.

However the fact that these topics have flared up recently in numbers
far larger than ever before should tell you something - we're living
in interesting, interesting times.

That being said there's certainly something worthy of discussion
around here, but, you would be suprised where it is. For example, in
the recent gold crash where many gold mining stocks have lost 80 to
90% of their value (hecla mining, coeur d'alenne, to name just two)
I'm up 40%. How and why, how and why.. but I am an idiot who can't
play guitar :) So long story short, seek and ye shall find. If you
don't seek, you won't find. It's really that simple. Someone like
mulay for instance - not a seeker. Wereo? Not a seeker. For better or
worse. So take it as a compliment, or not - but for the seekers, they
are the ones who will find. What kind of person is a seeker. Humble,
eager, willing, honest, straightforward, hardworking, diligent...
there go 99% of the people here, at least, the face they show.

*shrug* by asking the question, you separated yourself. but are you
ready for the next level? We will see.

You mean pecker necks like you? All anyone's ever seen from you is
bullshit and empty threats. Nothing to prove you could "whip your way
out of a paper bag." You talk the talk but couldn't walk the walk you
spineless, gutless fucking drunk crackerhead.

So unless you got some proof there Keefy just shut the fuck up
already..

If the individual undergoing just deserves is someone like;

John W. Gacy
Gary Leon Ridgway
Ed Gein
Jeffery Dahmer
Josef Stalin
Dr. Josef Mengele
Lee Oswald
Richard Ramirez
James Earl Ray
David Berkowitz
Michel Fourniret
Harold Shipman
Pedro Lopez
Henry Lee Lucas
Ottis Toole
Bruno Ludke
Andrei Chikatilo
Gerald Stano
Moses Sithole
Dean Corll
Wayne Williams
"etc."

Then I'm cool with it. I couldn't be bothered to watch or join in, but
I'd keep bouncing a ball while walking off into the sunset as the sound
effects of such street justice echoed off city canyon walls. ;-) Oooh
does that mean I'm not a "Lib" after all? ;-) I still despise 'w' and
everyone associated with him! Ack ack ack ack ack. mvm
