How many times .... - jtees4 - 2-:06 -0-10-20

....have you sold the guitar you swore you'd never sell? I'm about to
do it again, I'd say this is literally the 10th time I've done it at
least.

I'd say I've done it at least that many times. Along with other equipment
too.

I always sell guitars I swear I'll never sell. Guitars come and go.
I've given up being attached or falling in love with musical
instruments.

I stopped selling ANY guitars about 20 years ago. Too many regrets
about guitars I sold before that. Some I didn't regret until a long
time after.

The one I most regret selling is my Gibson RD Artist. That guitar was
awesome, and I actually miss it. Luckily a friend has it, so I can
visit.

I guess it is good that my main go-to guitars are MIM and MIJ Fenders.
I like them immensely, and it is easy to keep them since they won't
bring much money. My '82 Silverburst LP Custom doesn't get used much,
but I could never sell it without (a.) having my hands on a different
LP I like better, or (b.) being in sudden desperate need of a few $K.

I have sold a few guitars... it never was easy... even though there always
was some reason that I couldn't have kept them.

Though it was very easy with one amp and a few effects.

I the late 70's I was checking out the RD's at Manny's and I wanted
one so bad, but could not afford it. It was one of the few that I've
wanted that I've never owned. I also remember liking the L6S a lot at
the same time.

Never.

The only guitar I've ever sold was an L6S, which I grew tired of
immediately after the "Hoo boy, I got a new toy" thing wore off.

Had one stolen on a gig (my first guitar, an acoustic archtop that I
outfitted with pickups). Other than those, I've still got 'em all.

I've never sold a guitar. I have sold a bass cabinet ( a 4X15 - too
big by the time the '90s rolled around ).
