Esteban guitar (saw one) - SotR - 6-:30 -0-09-20

At the Goodwill store today. To be honest just to see it from a distance
it was somewhat attractive but of course up close you tell the workmanship
is majorly inferior. This one had the look of an "Anniversary" type model
with hearts and diamonds abalone shell fret marker inlay and an ornate cream
painted headstock motif with a fancy scroll looking logo. It also had an
abalone shell rosette which upon examination was just a sticker, like JC
Whitney glitter tape.
The fretboard and bridge were painted I assume to look like maple but they
actually looked more like butter. The edges were really jagged and I'm sure
would start to peel with-in minutes of use.
And the one thing I don't know how he gets off saying that they are
American made when it say's big as life on the inside sticker Made in China.
I couldn't play it because it was attached to the wall and had yarn wrapped
around the neck I guess to make it look like a festive display or something.
This Goodwill store has an ongoing silent auction of the more quality level
items that come in, with stuff coming and going every day and the guitar was
part of that. I'm sure they thought it was of quality and it was obviously
brand new.
I knew it would sound like shit but I really did want to at least hear it
and see what it played like just for my own amusement. I did fret up past
the yarn and strum it but it was so out of tune that didn't tell me
anything. But now I can say I saw one...as if that's saying anything LMAO.

the esteban piņata might be a big seller.<<<<<<

I don't think that would be much fun. It probably would break if the stick
just grazed the side.
Actually that was pretty funny Squire :-)

actually I think the best use of these is for a pinata.
stuff the sound hole with candy and trinkets and then hang it up and
have people bang on it until it breaks and the candy falls out all over.

the esteban pinata might be a big seller.
