The State of This Group - Billy Brit - 6-:25 -0-09-20

People have been saying that Usenet is declining for years but this
group is something else. Half of the posts here are concerning a
delusional nitwit and his copy of a long-forgotten concert, someone
calling himself Appledog constantly insists on making a fool of himself
and, apparently, at least two people have died in suspicious
circumstances. And that's before I even mention the sexual deviance of
the character calling himself Mulay when he isn't constantly changing
his name, although the sexually deviant pathology of the person posting
through anonymous remailers makes Mulay look like a man with a normal
fetish.
Just what on earth is wrong with this group? Does anybody come here to
discuss guitars any more?

Yeah, it sucks. People post meaningful topics and they're
ignored.... VampX has a hangnail and gets 400+ responses... I look
in here every now & then and after wading through spam and thoughtful
posts, I see people responding to ridiculous topics like "how do I
hold my hand to solo"?
This board has been dead a long time. I just have to keep telling
myself that so that I'll quit looking.

Well I'd say I've been lurking and posting in AG for over 6 years now and
using usenet since close to it's inception and yes usenet is on the back 9
so to speak and my killfile gets bigger and bigger every day but there "is"
still a lot of knowledge here that I cannot find elsewhere. I try to share
my limited knowledge as much as I can and yes I am guilty of OT posts all
the time but I look at this group as one big (albeit dysfunctional) family
and I will be sad when the day comes I can no longer lurk or post here.
Oh and Vampx is a hottie and a great player at the same time..which means
she does get special attention round here and deserves it IMO.
Just my 2 cents..
