This is about my Epi explorer the guy offered an Esteban guitar and a
lizard in trade.
Well, turned out he was a kid, probably 14 or 15. He came by the house
with his dad. It was cool because the kid was playing Zep, Deep Purple,
Ozzy, etc. He wasn't that good but his music choice was encouraging. I told
his dad, "cool, you got him off on the right foot". The dad said the best
thing was he came to that music on his own.
Anyway he played the guitar for about 45 minutes gushing about it the whole
time and said he loved it. But he didn't have any cash on him, which I
expected because he e-mailed saying he wanted to check it out but didn't
have all the money on him. They said they would come back tomorrow evening
(tonight) to purchase.
Well, surprise surprise, just got a e-mail saying thanks for letting me
play the guitar, I'm gonna keep looking. But last night there was nothing
about it that he didn't like. In fact his dad had to tell him "ok son, let's
let the gentleman get back to his evening, you've played it long enough".
But to be honest, as I was standing there watching him play I thought to
myself *man, do I really want to sell this guitar?*. I think I will leave
the ad up and if someone drops the full amount I request ok. But if doesn't
sell that's cool too. Even if I don't play it much, it's still a really nice
guitar and I love the tone.

And let Dad get back to his, no doubt.

What do you need more, the guitar or the space it occupies? "Why
don't you play it?" in other words.
The money is just how it follows you home.

Well, it's just a matter of I'm not really into electric anymore. My focus
is acoustic instruments (in general) and voice (Barbershop harmony). I have
some vintage electric guitars and basses that I plan to keep but everything
that is not something important to me I am liquidating.

I kinda like the epiphone korina explorers.
I would buy one if they weren't so overpriced as they are here in

Ya know, I searched your ad because I'd like to have a couple of guitars
to match my Korina SG/G-400. I was really tempted to make some sort of
joke offer. But I couldn't come up with something believable, that was
stranger than a LIZARD.
I picked one up a few weeks ago at GC. Looked nice. Played okay. Just
couldn't love the body shape. Same goes for the V, so it's probably
best I got the SG.

A lizard?

I'd imagine they'd be quite difficult to hold.
Cheers,
Andy.
