Epiphone AJ 500RE - Sandoz - 6-:18 -0-09-20

Any comments on this guitar. It's gotten good reviews. I can't find a
store in Alberta that has one or is willing to get one without a
serious downpayment first. Lousy economy I understand but I'd like to
hear one before comitting to buy. Thanks for any

I assume you mean the Masterbilt, right?
The best guitar you can buy for the money, and in many ways, better than
guitars costing twice the price.
I own one of the original models, and absolutely love it. Much more bottom
than a typical Epi, and sweeter sounding than any Yamaha. Plays like a
Gibson. I compared it to the low end Martins and Taylors, and ended up
buying the MB.
Now, they have a newer model that is even nicer. Better electronics, and the
tone is even better if that is possible. I've been tempted to sell mine and
buy a new one.
