My Phase 90 for your Boss PH-2 - TheChris - 6-:17 -0-09-20

So - a while back, I did a trade for an old EH Small Stone, and got a
Phase 90... I was trying to recapture EVH sounds... Though I did, it's
just not doing it for me.

I'm going to stick with Boss pedals which fit on my pedal board nicer :)

So - before I do the whole 'sell this, buy that' thing..

Anybody want to trade straight up? It's a newer Phase 90.. Velcro on the
bottom, but that can come off. Sounds great...

cabell@nospam.hotmail.com

You know what to remove - Thanks :)

besides the PH-2 , if you can find an older PH-1 -- get it!
One of the best 'musical' excellent phasers I have ever used.
It's an older 4 stage phaser that really sounds good and doesn't
wash out when using it in live band settings.

I have tried newer 8 and 12 stage phasers and they are
just noisemakers. Good for an intro effect or perhaps
for creating alien landing sounds but the 4 stage phasers
are the way to go (imho).

Anyways - if you see a PH-1, grab it (if it's under $150.00)
You'll have a lifetime keeper for a phaser pedal.

The DOD 201 is a nice phase pedal too.

I truly like the Small Stone - but, I like the *size* of Boss pedals...
:)

Buyer's remorse? ;-)
I'll gladly swap back if you'd like. I think I've used the Small Stone
exactly twice since we swapped those pedals. I just don't use phasers
enough to be really picky about them.

Check yours--let's do it, once you're over the indecision that is!

well like I said in a previous reply -- you have just scored
one of the best 'musical' sounding phaser pedals ever made (imho).
It's my all time favorite phaser (I tried a lot of them before I
stumbled onto my PH-1).

Besides using it by itself or with some light OD ---
if you have a fuzz pedal - put the fuzz pedal in front of
the PH-1 -- then dial up the fuzz and kick on the PH-1 (actually
the PH-1 sounds pretty good with both controls set to noon straight up
or half way but adjust to taste). Anyways - have a nice gained up fuzz
cascade into the PH-1 and you'll get a cool retro lead sound ala
Ernie Isley et al. Using the 2 pedals this way mimics a Roland Jet Phaser.

But yeah the PH-1 by itself is really nice. I put it at the end
of the pedal chain as it really likes to be there and it gets along
real well having other pedals before it feeding it. (if that's your thing).

anyways congrats! those are getting really hard to find.
